Itinerary

Day – 1 : Delhi to Haridwar (210 KM)

The first day of the Yatra typically involves traveling from Delhi to Haridwar. Haridwar is a significant pilgrim city of Uttarakhand, commonly known as the Gateway to God. It is situated on the banks of the Ganges and is considered one of the holiest cities in India. After reaching Haridwar, generally, devotees check into their hotels, relax, and explore the city.

Day – 2 : Haridwar to Barkot (220 KM)

The second day involves traveling from Haridwar to a small town called Barkot. The distance is approximately 220km, and it takes around 8 hours to reach. On the way, devotees can have their lunch and take a halt at some point of interest like Kempty falls or Mussourie. After reaching Barkot, they check into their accommodations and take rest.

Day - 3 : Barkot to Yamunotri To Barkot (35 KM Drive + 6 KM Trek One way)

The third-day journey starts early in the morning, and devotees travel to Jankichatti, which is around 50km from Barkot. From Jankichatti, they take a 6 km trek to Yamunotri, which is considered the originating source of the Yamuna River.

The trek is relatively challenging, and devotees need to walk besides the cascading Yamuna River and the dense forest. Upon reaching, they take bath in the hot springs and offer prayers and seek blessings, after seeking blessings from Yamunotri, devotees travel back to Barkot, have Dinner and retire for the day.

Day – 4 : Barkot to Uttarkashi (97 KM)

The fourth day, devotees start their journey towards the next pilgrimage site, Gangotri, which is situated in Uttarkashi district. On the way, they can halt at the beautiful village of Uttarkashi, and seek the blessings of Lord Vishwanath and Natural Shiv Cave. Later, they proceed to the hotel, check-in, and relax for the day.

Day – 5 : Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (101 KM one way)

On the fifth day, devotees travel to Gangotri, which is a 101km distance from Uttarkashi. On reaching, they offer prayers to the deity and seek blessings. Gangotri has a unique location and is situated amidst the gigantic Himalayan peaks. Devotees take a dip in the holy water of Ganga and seek blessing. After spending some time in the temple and Visiting Surya kund, they return to the hotel.

Day – 6 : Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (101 KM one way)

The sixth day of the Yatra involves traveling to Kedarnath Base, which is located in the district of Rudraprayag. It takes around 8-10 hours to reach Guptkashi/ Son Prayag. On the way visit Ardhnarishwar temple at Gupkashi. Overnight stay.

Day – 7 : Gangotri to Kedarnath (16 KM Trek)

The seventh day of the Yatra involves traveling to Kedarnath, vehicle allowed till Sonprayag (Some Time till sitapur. From Son Prayag need to take local taxi (50 Rs Per Person) to reach Gaurikund, which is the last motorable point from there.

Later, devotees start an arduous trek of 16 km to reach Kedarnath. The trek is relatively challenging, and one needs to be physically fit to undertake it. Devotee can hire Pony or Palki also. Upon reaching Kedarnath, devotees offer prayers at one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Kedarnath temple has a unique location, and it is situated at an elevation of 3564m above the sea level.

After that visit Sankarachaya Samadhi, Bim Sjila, Gupt Kund, Bhairo Baba.

Day – 8 : Kedarnath to Guptkashi (16 KM Trek)

On the eighth day, devotees travel back to Gaurikund, and from there, take a taxi to reachSonprayag/ Sitapur. Then meed your taxi driverand procced to Guptkashi Hotel. Guptkashi is a small town situated in the picturesque Mandakini valley, and it is known for its ancient Vishwanath temple. Upon reaching, devotees check into their hotels and relax.

Day – 9 : Guptkashi to Badrinath (192 KM)

On the ninth day of the journey, devotees travel to the last pilgrimage site, Badrinath.

It is located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. Badrinath is situated on the banks of the holy river Alaknanda. The temple is devoted to Lord Badri Vishal and has a unique architecture.

Devotees offer prayers to the deity and bow down to seek blessings. After spending some time there, they return to the hotel.

Day – 10 : Badrinath to Rudraprayag/Srinagar

On the tenth day of the Yatra, devotees travel back to Rudraprayag, which is located at a distance of 160 km from Badrinath.

En-route, they can halt at beautiful places like Mana Village, Origin of Sarashwati River, Mata Murti Temple, Vyash Gufa, Bhim Pul, Joshimath, Divya Desam, Karanprayag, and Nandprayag. Rudraprayag is situated at the confluence of the river Alaknanda and Mandakini. Upon reaching the hotel, devotees retire for the day.

Day – 11 : Rudraprayag / Srinagar to Rishikesh

On the eleventh day of the trip, devotees start their journey towards Rishikesh. The distance is around 160 km, and it takes approximately 4-5 hours to reach. En – Route visit Dhari devi Temple, Divya Desam, Rishikesh, Basisth Cave.

Day – 12 : Rudraprayag to Delhi

On the 12th day of the trip, devotees start their journey towards Delhi. The distance is around 210 km, and it takes approximately 4-5 hours to reach. Upon reaching Delhi, devotees procced for their onward Journey.
