Itinerary

DAY 1: HARIDWAR TO JOSHIMATH (APPROX. 280 KM, 8-9 HRS)

Long drive. En route, see the confluence of the Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers at Devprayag (forming the Ganga).
Check in at Joshimath.
Evening visit to Narsingh Temple (considered a winter seat for Badrinath).

Overnight stay in Joshimath.

DAY 2: JOSHIMATH TO BADRINATH (APPROX. 45 KM, 2 HRS) VIA YOG DHYAN BADRI

Drive to Pandukeshwar to visit Yog Dhyan Badri via Vishnu Prayag.
Then proceed to Badrinath.
Check-in, take a holy dip in Tapt Kund, and have Darshan at Badrinath Temple (Badri Vishal).
Morning visit to Mana Village (last Indian village), Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, and Bhim Pul.

Overnight stay in Badrinath.

DAY 3: BADRINATH TO BHAVISHYA BADRI AND ARDH BADRI TO JOSHIMATH

Drive approx. 20 km from Joshimath - the starting point for the Bhavishya Badri trek.
Walk to Bhavishya Badri (approx. 1 km one way).
Visit Ardh Badri in Tapovan.
Drive back to Joshimath.

Overnight stay in Joshimath.

DAY 4: VRIDDHA BADRI & DHYAN BADRI VISIT

Drive to Animath Village (approx. 7 km from Joshimath) to visit Vriddha Badri.
Next, drive/trek to Urgam Valley to visit Dhyan Badri (can involve a short trek).
Drive back to Chamoli or stay overnight in Pipalkoti.

Overnight stay in Chamoli / Pipalkoti.

DAY 5: CHAMOLI TO ADI BADRI TO RUDRAPRAYAG (APPROX. 165 KM, 6-7 HRS)

Drive from Joshimath via Karnaprayag to the Adi Badri temple complex (a cluster of 16 temples, with the main one dedicated to Vishnu).
On the way visit Nand Prayag and Karna Prayag.
Continue to Rudraprayag. Check-in.

Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.
