  1. By Air : The nearest major airport is Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati (Assam). It is about 120 km from Shillong. From Guwahati, you can take a taxi or shared cab to Shillong.

There is also a smaller airport at Umroi near Shillong, but it has limited flights.

  1. By Train : Meghalaya does not have its own railway station. The nearest railway station is Guwahati Railway Station, which is well-connected to cities like Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai. From there, you can take a cab or bus to Shillong.
  2. By Road : Shillong is connected to Guwahati and other nearby towns via NH6. You can travel by private taxi, shared sumo, or Meghalaya Transport buses. The road journey from Guwahati to Shillong is scenic and comfortable.
