Tara devi temple

It is one of Shimla’s renowned and religious places to visit. Tara Devi Temple is located near Shogi village, on Shimla-Kalka National Highway, at a distance of 17 km from Shimla Railway Station. Located on top of a hill, the temple can be reached via the Kalka-Shimla Highway, making it a perfect place to rejuvenate one’s mind, body, and soul. The Temple is dedicated to Goddess Tara (the goddess of stars) and stands on Tara Devi hilltop between Shimla and Shoghi, at an altitude of 1851 m above sea level, and is a popular tourist and devotee visiting spot. Through here you can get a panoramic view of Shimla and the snow-clad Himalayan range on one side, while on the other side you can see the plains far away.
