It has always been very pleasant to see the beauty of the sunrise from Tiger Hill. Also, you may enjoy the beautiful view of Kanchenjunga, and it’s always pleasant to see. Sun rise from the valley is ultimate experience one who visited. To visit sun rise you have to wok up early in the morning at 4 AM and process for Tiger Hill. There is too much crowed if you get late and you wont be able to reach there. The road is full of vehicle and you have want aroud 1-2 Km to reach at Tiger Hill. Tiger Hill holds the proud UNESCO world record of having the highest Railway station in Darjeeling Himalayan Railway.
Tiger hill is an altitude of 2590 meters and distance of 13 Kms from Darjeeling. Tiger Hill is known for its dazzling views of the sunrise. The world’s highest peak, Everest (8848m) and other peak like Lhotse (8501m) Makalu (8475m) can be easily seen from this hilltop. It is suggested to reach at tiger hill by 4:15 AM to get the space to see the view. The best time to visit the tiger hill would be in autumn (Mid Oct to Dec) and spring (Mid Feb to April).
