St Mary’s Church is a Roman Catholic is situated within the valley of Shepherds in Gulmarg. Saint Mary’s Church is found near golf links in Gulmarg. Church had been built in 1902, during the British rule, and was constructed in British style. made from grey brick with a green roof and decorated wooden interior walls, it’s been described as a “Victorian architectural wonder”. St. Mary’s Church is standing tall, even after 100 odd years. One must visit there because it consists of ancient architectural wonders that our country is most famous for. And it also said that the church has been a location for several Bollywood movies.
St Mary’s was closed for years, but was renovated and reopened in 2003. The church belongs to the Diocese of Amritsar, Church of North India.
