Scandal Point is situated on Shimla’s western edge where the Ridge and Mall Road intersect. The place is considered the highest point in the area of the Mall. Bhupinder Singh’s history says that the Maharaja of Patiala fell in love with the viceroy’s daughter. It is assumed that the daughter of the king and viceroy had eloped back in 1892 from this stage. Hence he was prohibited to reach Shimla. Numerous shops and restaurants surround Scandal Point. Also, one can enjoy horse riding around the town.
