Hanuman garhi

Designed in the style of a fort and reached by seventy-six upstairs, the ancient temple of the 10th century nestles in the center of the pilgrim city. In each corner, it has circular fortifications and is thought to be the place where Lord Hanuman lived in a cave and protected the city.

The temple has Lord Hanuman’s golden idol; it is counted among Ayodhya’s most revered locations. It is believed that the darshan of Hanuman Garhi is a must before taking the blessing of Lord Rama.

Thousands of devotees visit Hanumangarhi every day to give prayers and seek the safety of Lord Hanuman from evil and blessings for peace and prosperity.

The massive fort-like temple can be seen from each corner of the town. The entire temple is spread over 20 acres approx.
