Guru shikhar

Guru Shikhar is the highest peak in the whole Aravali Range, located just over 15 kilometers from the outskirts of the town. The views one can get from above are something to write about at home. Seeing the entire town spread under your feet makes you feel like you’re on top of the planet. The lush greenery all around would make you fall in love with the town even deeper. Ideal to visit Guru Shikhar for panoramic views in the early morning or late afternoon. While the Sunset Point in Mount Abu is frequented by some honeymooners. At Guru Shikhar there are some 300 steps to reach the top of the mountain, where there is a temple and a big bell.

There is also a temple in Mount Abu at Guru Shikhar which is a famous Hindus pilgrimage spot. The Guru Dattatreya Temple is dedicated to an incarnation of Brahma , Vishnu and Shiva’s Divine Trinity. There are no actual timings for visitors at Guru Shikhar Mount Abu, but the best time to visit it would be for a fantastic sunrise early in the morning or for an equally beautiful sunset towards evening.
