Bindyabasini temple

The ancient Pokhara Bindhyabasini Temple sits atop a small hill. This temple is dedicated to the embodiment of Devi Parvati, Goddess Durga. The worshiped Goddess is in the form of a Shaligram. King Siddhi Narayan Shah bought the idole from Bindhyachal in India, according to a local legend. It is one of western Nepal ‘s foremost Shaktipiths and all the rituals are strictly adhered to according to Hindu culture. If you are lucky enough to witness a nice Nepalese wedding you can get a chance.
