The Udaipur Vintage Car Museum was opened to the general public on February 15th 2000 and is one of the places to visit in Udaipur. This unveiling has enabled the local and foreign visitors to enjoy the Mewar Maharanas collection of cars. The museum’s vehicles are over 70 years old but each has been beautifully restored and lives in to tell the tale. This location also houses a renowned garden restaurant, The Bougainvillea. This motor garage has a semi-circular shape, and is located inside a larger courtyard with its forecourt. Within the garage is an ancient Shell gas pump that is still in working condition. This garage was built at a time when the vehicles were owned only by the Mewar Maharanas.
