Shilpgram is an artisan fair that is held annually on the western side of Udaipur city. It aims at promoting Rajasthan’s art, craft, textile and handicrafts. This state is renowned for its art, bandhej, tie and dye, mirror work, and embroidery. Camel leather pieces, hand made clothing are a few other highlights of this fair. This fair supports local designers, potters and other artists of the visual world. Many workshops are held for those interested in learning the Rajasthan art and craft. The gala usually takes place during November or December, and continues for ten days. The program is designed to allow the public to recognize the conventional skills and to help sell local works of art.
