Gonjang Monastery is situated about 6 km from the center of Gangtok City near Tashi View point. It is located at an altitude of 6066 feet. The monastery was founded in 1981 and the founder is H.E. Tingkye Gonjang Rinpoche. The monastery provides knowledge on the close and comparative research of Indian and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy focused on moral values.
