Devprayag: The journey starts at Devprayag, where the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers merge to form the mighty Ganges. Also, Devprayag is famous as the birthplace of the Ganges and holds immense religious significance. Here, you can visit the ancient Divya desam Raghunathji Temple and witness the confluence of the two rivers.

Rudraprayag: Next, the journey takes you to Rudraprayag, where the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers meet. The town is on the name of Lord Shiva (Rudra), and it is believed to be the place where Shiva performed his cosmic dance, the Tandava. While in Rudraprayag, you can explore the famous Rudranath and Chamunda Devi temples.

Karnaprayag: Moving forward, you’ll arrive at Karnaprayag, where the Alaknanda River joins the Pindar River. It is the site where Karna from the Mahabharata obtained his divine armor (Kavach) and earrings (Kundal) from the Sun God. Here, you can visit the ancient Uma Devi Temple and seek blessings.

Nandaprayag: Continuing the journey, you’ll reach Nandaprayag, where the Alaknanda River merges with the Nandakini River. It is on the name of Lord Krishna’s foster father, Nanda Maharaj. Also, You visit the Gopalji Temple and experience the serene surroundings that offer a sense of inner peace.

Vishnuprayag: The final destination of the yatra is Vishnuprayag, located at the confluence of the Alaknanda River and the Dhauliganga River. This sacred spot is believed to be the place where Lord Vishnu meditated after killing the demon Shankhasura.
