Solang Valley is 13 km from Manali Bus Stand, locally known as Solang is one of Manali’s most popular tourist destinations, and is a well-known Himachal tourist hotspot for skiing, mountaineering and trekking. It is well known for its stunning views. A magnificent view of the glaciers, the snow-capped peaks near the Rohtang Pass and vast plains of snow and ice can be enjoyed from Solang Valley. Solang Valley is located between Solang Village and Beas Kund. It provides panoramic views of the snowcapped mountains and glaciers surrounding it.
In the Solang Valley Winter Skiing Festival is organized. There are two main activities combined here: Skiing and paragliding. The valley becomes a skiing paradise in winter, with children of all ages slipping and sliding across the fresh white snow. In summer it has paragliding, zorbing, mountain biking, and horse riding facilities. There are plenty of trekking trails around, as well.
