Pickup from Lucknow Railway Station / Airport / Hotel. Drive to Nepalgunj, Nepal. On arrival, check-in at hotel. Overnight stay with dinner.
After breakfast, board the morning flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot. Rest and acclimatise to high altitude. Enjoy a nature walk on the hillside and spend the evening at leisure. Overnight stay at Simikot.
Morning after breakfast, board the helicopter and fly to Hilsa at the Nepal–China border. Pick-up at Shera border and cross into Tibet. Meet the Tibetan and Nepali crew and drive to Taklakot. Overnight stay at hotel in Taklakot.
Morning after breakfast, drive to the holy Lake Mansarovar. The rest of the day is free for spiritual activities — puja, havan, and a sacred bath in the lake. Overnight stay on the shore of Lake Mansarovar.
Morning after breakfast, drive to Darchen (1–2 hrs). Complete the remaining Parikrama of Lake Mansarovar en route. On arrival, check-in at hotel and relax. Prepare for the Kailash Parikrama. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Darchen.
After breakfast, drive to the base camp of Mount Kailash. The sacred Parikrama begins at Yam Dwar. Trek approximately 11 km to Diraphuk, taking 5–7 hrs. En route, get darshan of the East Face of Kailash. On arrival, stay at basic guesthouse with darshan of the North Face. Dinner and overnight at guesthouse.
After breakfast, the Parikrama continues — the most challenging and spiritually intense day of the journey. Trek to the sacred Dolma La Pass (5,600 m). Offer prayers at the pass and proceed past Gauri Kund. Descend to Zhultulphuk. Dinner and overnight stay at guesthouse.
Morning after breakfast, trek the final 13 km stretch to Darchen — the Parikrama is complete. Jeeps await at the endpoint for the drive to Darchen. Post-lunch, drive to Taklakot via the Mansarovar Parikrama circuit. Overnight stay at Taklakot.
After breakfast, transfer to Hilsa by road. Board the helicopter and fly to Simikot. Connect to the Nepalgunj flight. On arrival at Nepalgunj, freshen up and collect luggage. Drive back to Lucknow with a final drop at the Airport or Railway Station — blessed with memories and Har Har Mahadev!
The Parikrama reaches 5,636 m. Expect headaches, nausea or breathlessness until acclimatised. Carry Diamox tablets (consult your doctor for dosage). Avoid alcohol and strenuous activity in early days.
This is one of the world's toughest high-altitude journeys. Pilgrims with asthma or heart conditions face greater risk. A pre-departure check-up with your doctor is strongly recommended.
Carry a down jacket, thermal undergarments, windbreaker, waterproof boots, woollen gloves, balaclava, UV sunglasses, and sunscreen. Indian women are advised not to wear saris on the Yatra.
Snacks (dry fruits, chocolates, glucose), water purification tablets, a personal first-aid kit, torch, camera, binoculars, deo spray, toilet paper, and wet tissues for the dusty terrain.
Chinese Yuan (CNY) is the local currency. Exchange at Bank of China at Zhangmu or from locals at the border. Reconvert remaining Yuan at Zhangmu before re-entering Nepal.
All Tibet tours operate under Tibet Tourism Bureau (TTB) rules. Changes due to landslide, flood, snow, political unrest, or flight cancellations are beyond our control. Extra costs must be borne by travellers on-site.
